Women in Mining Artisanal (WIMA) is a pioneering organization dedicated to bridging the gender gap in artisanal gold mining and empowering women in this sector. Through data-driven strategies and tailored databases, WIMA facilitates connections between women miners and key stakeholders, fostering partnerships and adding value to mining communities.
With a strong focus on sustainable development goals (SDGs), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, and overall sustainability, WIMA strives to promote gender equality and economic empowerment within artisanal mining communities.
